Couple of GSA technical questions

Hi 1130cc,

Have a look at page 46 of the 2012 GSA manual. The page states:-

......"The turn indicators are cancelled
automatically after
you have ridden for approximately
10 seconds and covered a distance
of about 300 m."......

The 2010 manual states however on page 56:-

......"The turn indicators are cancelled
automatically after
you have ridden for approximately
10 seconds, or covered a
distance of about 200 m."......

So this makes the 2012 bike much quicker:bow as that can cover 300m in 10 seconds whereas the 2010 can only cover 200m..:JB ....or have I missed the point:confused::thumb...... They don't say however what colour the bike needs to be as we all know some colours are faster than others !!:hide

I did read the manual, which appears to have been a 2012 one as it states 300m, though I have a 2010 bike.
Thanks for clearing up one confusing point, as I wondered if the previous owner had changed it to 200m.

Luckily, mine is not that slow red colour :)

Agree that the default times are too short. IIRC I had my '08 GSA increased to 500m which I was told was the maximum in terms of distance to travel. I'm not sure if time also becomes part of the equation but at least I can get round a roundabout now without them turning off at a critical moment.
Hi Mr B,

Can this change be done 'at home' or is it Dealer only?

Mike

Can only be done at the dealer unfortunately using the 'Super Computer', the same one as Ant and Dec use on a Saturday night........Can't be done at home even with the GS-911 box of tricks as I understand it.

Had my tyre pressure sensors set to PSI from BAR and the clock to 24 hour format today, prior to collection on Friday.

Will see how I get on with the self cancelling before changing that, to be fair I didn't have a problem on a half day demo, but we'll see.

Beemerman - I hit reply to RoyF's Post, & it attributes it to you - can't explain it. i'm not clever enough to cut & paste:nenau
