Crazy Price Norton Commando PCP Deal

Agreed, but some don’t like the pcp branding………and you don’t want shouted at on here - do you?! 🤣
Always found that odd, but each to their own. I have got all my new bikes since about 2010 on PCP and never been 'bitten'. I can't control the used values and I don't want people around my house when it comes to selling (Forum members excepted) so it's always made perfect sense to me for new/nearly new bikes.

Can I just check, what's the initial deposit on this pcp scheme ? Is this covered by the dealer ?

I think I’m going to go for this. £69 is the price of a mobile phone contract!

I’m mid-way between South Downs motorcycles in Petersfield and Krazy Horse out Oxford way. Anyone any recommendations either way?

I’d happily deal with either. I bought from krazyhorse in suffolk but spoke to south downs m/cs beforehand about the deal.

Did you go for the £69 deal? I see they’ve reduced the price now to £13500, but I can’t see why anyone would buy one - do the pcp then see what it’s worth at the end of the deal. Total outlay £1587 and walk away, or buy it if you want it for £12k oddd.

So will these be made in India? Or in the Solihull plant I wonder?

Seems like they might be very busy if made here.

If the order has to be placed by 31/12/24 as some sites are suggesting Krazy Horse is closed until 07/01/25. Just looked at South Downs site and they show a 0% finance deal on 961 SP’s with zero customer deposit, 23 monthly payments of £67 and optional final payment of £12013 but doesn’t show any t&c’s?

Has anybody test rode one recently? I rode one a few years ago and it was the wurst bike I’d ever ridden the fuelling was diabolical.

If they have sorted them what a great toy for no money.

I had a test ride at krazyhorse. Fueling and everything was great, particularly the sound from those pipes. It felt more modern than i was expecting with a slick gearbox but then i am used to older bikes. I was impressed. My deal was £67/ month for 23 months then hand back or pay £12k.

I rode one of the Garner era ones, when I was a member of Spyder club I had it for a few weekends and also a week on the Isle of Man.

I thought it was great - rode a lot like an old Commando, which you may or may not think is a good thing 😆

Good points.
A key to turn it on
Analogue dials
Öhlins
Brembo brakes
Looks great
No modes
No connectivity
No radar cruise control
No forward collision monitoring
No brake assist

The one i rode was a lot slicker than an old commando (i rode an 850 interstate a long time ago). I think theres been a lot of improvements during (mk2) and mainly after the Garner era following the TVS buyout. But it does ride like a proper bike ( not a sewing machine).
