Wunderlich Cruise Control on F650 twin...

Hi,
Has anyone tried fitting a Wunderlich Cruise Control to their bike ? I'm specifically after anyone that has tried it with the BMW handguards installed as well.

I went to the dealer today and we tried to fit them, but it looks like I need to move the throttle body out on the bars another 2-3mm. just doesnt seem to fit properly and not sure about moving the grip, etc.

The instructions were in German and I don't have copy with me(I returned the part), so not sure if I was missing something....

Not sure if the instructions are available online either ?

Cheers,
Ivan.

Hi Ivan,
sorry to tell you this but i am pretty certain there is not a cruise controll available to suit the BMW handgaurds as yet. its not really likely either as the sectcion that clamps the throtle to lock has a hand gaurd in its way.

cheers :D

Hi lilgs,
Wunderlich do have the part(part #8166101). I've checked their website for install instructions, but none available for this set. I mean, it looks pretty straightforward to attach them, I'm just concerned that I need to move the throttle assembly 2mm out to have the throttle lock fit properly.

I guess 2mm ain't much, but never used a throttle lock before, so wasn't sure if moving the throttle assembly a bit was a good or bad idea ??

I have 1200 adventure guards on my bike atnd an americian throttlemeister fitted, gr8 combination work really well

i just read the catalogue and it clearly says the aluminium kit will suit with or without the bmw handguards. have you got any photos of the cruise control? i just cant work out how they can get this to work with the handguard in the way.

Just picked it up from the dealer again and will try to fit it myself. Will post pics.

I'd like to put a cruise control on my F650GS Twin, such as the Kaoko, but their website says it doesn't fit with the BMW hand guards.
I have the '08 12GS guards (not the 650 specific ones), and wonder if the Kaoko (or any other) will work with these guards.
Does anyone out there have any direct experience with this combination or any cruise control that might work? :nenau

Cheers:beerjug:
