Cruise control deactivates on Indicating right

Same issue with mine, did it one trip, gave cruise button a serious wiggle to clean up contacts. No problem since.

Bike in for service today, no issue found when bike plugged in and no fault found.

No repeat of issue since.

Will monitor going forward - BMW were ready to swap switch gear today but agreed with them to see how it goes.

Mine had both left and right switchgear replaced under warranty at less than 1200 miles (out of spec.................. meaning they stopped working). The left hand switch is starting to play up again at 11,000 miles ie the info button is is sticking and today the suspension switch has been playing up, looks like a warranty job

Went to the dealers and spoke to them about mine and it is covered by the extended warranty.............. info button is still sticking and the latest intermittent fault is if the bike is on cruise control or it has just been deactivated the suspension mode button will not work .

Booked in for next month to get sorted

When this problem emerged, in my K1600 days, guys were getting both left & right switch gear together with the wonderwheel replaced under warranty. Pretty disconcerting if you were on lane 3 of the Motorway & the bike decdes to activate the kill switch. The issue was said to be water ingress into the internal contacts that were said to have been encapsulated/waterproofed inadequately. The trouble was many of the replacements failed in short order until the Mothership got to the root of the problem. Still a few failing though & annoying to see it occuring with the GS too.

Given the way these are made, I can't see how the LWR rider can protect themselves ............. just hope it doesn't rain too hard & never wash the bike? Still canbus isn't exactly user friendly should problems occur in a remote area in the first place, without a back-up Service Truck.
