Without me trawling thru the forums to get clues, is there a cruise control available for the 1200gs, either O/E or aftermarket ??

Thanks folks

If you mean proper cruise control and not just a throttle lock then http://www.motorcyclecruise.co.uk/bmw.html but its about £800!!! When I get some time in a couple of months I am going to attempt to fit the much cheaper generic car type. Its been done before several times and to the BM so it should work out with a bit of messing about. Throttle locks are great for motorway stuff where you change speed very little but they run into problems when you use them on fast A roads or when you hit reasonable hills.

I really like both the throttle locks ( the first from http://www.2wheelride.com/throttle_pro.html and the other from JAWs - Iwould like the latter one to be in black color than silver) but I am wondering something...

Have anyone used them on steering bar with grip puppies??
Can I use them with my grip puppies?? and which one is the best one for that case??

got a Jaws version, used on sth France trip and it worked very well, easy to use etc
Understand that there is a difference between throttle lock and cruise proper but the difference is negligible for the times that use of it is appropriate.

Big vote for Jaws - excellent for the price, pretty damn good for twice the price -and it will still be cheaper than a Kaoko (Sp?)

Yes I have a JAWs one too and it works great for what it is and at least half the price of some well known rip off brands. Always seems odd to me that BMW dont offer proper cruise control on the GS/GSA. These bikes do monster miles in the hands of many.

Any of the throttle locks will only be of any use on constant throttle settings, but most of the time its then you need them. The thought of using one of them on roads other than a motorway = should have gone in the car.

But to give the wrist / hand a few minutes of relief on a long motorway jaunt, they get a :thumb2
