I don't like Omni Cruise .

1. It looks Ugly.
2. One twist screw, and the local Hoodie is walking off with it.

It's actually a very well made piece of kit although I do like the 3D printed one!

The one twist screw is to set the tension.

When you leave the bike, you take the 'cruise with you.

Touratech do one. Works for me on long trips. I would buy it again.

I use the one from Jaws motorcycles.Nicely made and a good price.

I have one on the bar end with a cog wheel shaped friction adjuster. I find it really awkward to set and un-set because it need so may ferkin turns before its fully let go of the grip. Then its suddenly too tight and hard to undo without jerking the throttle. It can be set to drag the throttle so it needs less grip to hold it open but TBH I think they are silly money for what they offer.

I'd agree with Bendy here. Although it works I find setting it fiddly and can be a jerky/chuggy affair as you try and get it going, a small thing but not great with a pillion on board.

In the last 25k I think I've used it half a dozen times.

Until the end of this year I will be continuing to do a lot of M-way work, but my Touratech/Kako cruise control hardly gets used. Traffic speeds vary too much and the thing is plain awkward to use smoothly.

@araspitfire's device is a great idea. For those of us without a 3D printer some 3mm x 10mm aluminium strips could do the same job. Its a very clever idea to use O-rings as tensioners.

While I haven't used every type of twist on the bar-end throttle friction device. Or tried the big O-ring idea..

I really do feel the one the you can set with your index finger.. (it really does sit exactly where you will naturally push with your finger) is the best and easiest to use.

I had it inside my Tucano Urbano muffs earlier this year and it's not long enough to touch the top of the muff... I really don't wrap the throttle on all that much during normal riding.

I was not going to publish the model, as I figured it's too limited a market. (designed for the GS throttle, and Brake lever spacing), but I guess I will... along with instructions for having it printed with a 3D print-house.. (there are a few, and the cost is quite reasonable)

Also.. the two bits of Alu will work, as well as a piece of Polycarbonate, drilled with the correct size hole-saw, and cut up it's length. They are not rocket science.

OK, but Waaay too long and no spring or tension to grip smaller throttle grips. The designer must have HGV trailer springs in his carbs.
