For some reason my cruise control has stopped working, everything else is fine and there is no fault code showing. I was off roading all weekend so whether something has been dislodged I don’t know, anyone else had this?

Don’t know about a bike but wheel speed sensors have caused odd issues with cruise on cars I’ve had in the past though I would expect it to show an ABS or Traction fault/light.
Maybe worth looking on that area if you’ve been offroad, may have been clouted.

Do you use it regular?

The plastic switch may have been dislodged from the component on the ribbon PCB. I'd remove the switchgear cover (it's 2 very small torx screws) and check all is ok - and give it a clean out.

Does it not turn on on the switch or does it turn on but you cannot set the speed??

I would say with the first look at the CC switch

If the second then more likely a sensor which will be a more pain to find sadly

It happens
i discconected the battery and it was fine - but i had a new switch cluster eventually

I had a similar situation with my 2014 GSA

Dealer suggested I spray a tiny spot of WD40 into the switch and if that didn't get it working they would replace the whole switch pack for new under warranty

I tried the WD40 option and that cured it :thumby:

What mode are you in? JJH

I know it doesn’t work in enduro, I had a new switch under warranty in 2019 but my bike has done over 100000kms. I’m not sure where the sensors for it is so will start with the switch cleaning. At the moment it does nothing at all, no lights, nothing.

SO more likely the switch isn't turning it on so don't worry to much about sensors at this stage I reckon

That’s what I’m hoping, it worked for a while coming back from Wales, then I stopped for fuel and it didn’t switch back on. Just washed the bike so will dry it and strip the switch.

As Santa mentions though the whole grip will probably need replacing if it cannot be repaired (If I remember rightly the left is far cheaper than the right)

When my first unit went under warranty I sprayed it with wd and it worked and the dealer bollocked me for fixing it when they came to change it as it worked ok

Daft question but Cruse control dosent work in Enduro? Have you swapped back to another mode after offroading ?

Cleaned the bike but don’t have a torx small enough, presume it’s a T5

Cheers, managed with a small screwdriver, was absolutely filthy in there, probably been able to grow carrots in there which is not surprising considering it lives off road most of the time. Cleaned it and lubed it so will see what happens.

Well the wait is over, used it for work this morning and all is working as it should. Tried it speed up and down and everything is fine. Not sure if the cleaning did it or the disconnecting of the battery, but it’s working as it should.
