Dear Friends
While ago i installed on my 2009 R1200GS the Hepco-Becker crash bar.
Recently I also bought the original BMW's aluminum cylinder valve protection covers.
I took off the crash bars, installed the BMW's cylinder valve protection covers, but than i could not install the Hepco Becker crash bars.....
Has any one experienced this problem and found a solution?
Appreciate your advice Amir

Hi don`t know if this really helps but I have Hepco-Becker crash bar on my 07 1200GS together with BMW aluminium cylinder head covers which are standard on GSA`s. I had no problem fitting the two together and remove the cylinder head covers with ease for servicing, leaving the bars in place. The rubber cushions behind the cylinder head covers do need a bit of a push against the cylinder heads but the bars and covers are always there together. Does a 2009 bike have different valve covers to a 2007 bike?

thanks Peter and Julio

so, i removed totaly the crash bars.
installed the BMW valve covers on both sides, and reinstalled the crash bars.
on the left side there is less room and crash bar is not fully inserted in to the upper center bar.
on the right side with some pressure in went on.
how ever, for plug changes it will be necessary to remove first the crash bars.
i wish Hepco & Becker will look into it.
thank you all Amir
