How about Shimla Pinks on Orpington High St? It's just a short walk from the train station too.:thumb

I'm glad I'm in it.

But if we are letting our hair down, do we want to ride/drive??

That means Central London to most of us in the South East, surely??

As Wapping isn't sorting it it doesn't have to be that far over.

Anyone fancy the India Club off Waterloo Bridge, near the Strand??

Close to most main line stations, bring your own booze too.

2nd Floor, Strand Continental Hotel, 143 Strand, London, WC2R 1JA

Not sure about parking, there are meters nearby and probably MC bays too.

Before we confirm this restaurant it would be worth doing a straw poll as it is a restaurant you love or hate. Personally I love it, very quirky and not like your run of the mill curry house. It used to be the canteen of the Indian High Commision apparently.

Food-wise layout-wise, style-wise, very much in the Lahore Kebab House mould but smaller; Waterloo & Charing Cross stations in staggering distance.

I'm not in BTW for the marmite reasons given above.
