I done fell off

1st March, 0700, A272, not gritted, lotsa ice. Down I went.
Damage: scraped right hand rocker cover (but not gone through), broke screen, trashed one of my lovely PIAA spots, broke right hand footpeg mount, snapped rear brake pushrod, damaged wires on rear brake light switch, slightly bent a pannier.
Rode it home once the ice had melted
I got a 2nd hand footpeg mounting plate from Motorworks.
The rear brake light switch is £33 new
and the activation rod for the rear brake is only available as part of the brake cylinder assembly (the chap said) and that's £99
. The Motorworks chap I spoke to didn't know if they had them 2nd hand
(who does he work for?!).
I can see a bodge on the switch coming along in the bike's near future and I'm wondering if a bit of threaded rod would do for the other part. I wonder if araldite will work on the screen.
