I know you guys are usually black on black on black when it comes to your HD's, but I was wondering who does ( if anyone) the really nice paint jobs on UK bikes ?
I was thinking of trying to give my CVO 110 Dyna Fatbob a bit of a lift....:)

Black rattle can.... Sorted

the best painter by a long shot in the uk is ty at pageant paintwork ,there is no one better ,but please please dont say skulls or flames otherwise you need to wear flares and listen to "the final countdown" only my opinion but im right !!!!

Ignore JA Dave... Lots of good painters out there. Wait a couple of weeks then take a trip down here. You can see a couple of my paint jobs and I'll give you some good contacts...in fact "Ink and Iron" is on 6th April.. Come along,.we won't bite...

Putting a custom paint job on a CVO will radically reduce it's value. One of the reasons people buy them is for the paint. :blast

Better to buy the next model down in the range and spend the spare cash on paint and extras :thumb2

If I did something it would need to be unique, like skulls and flames . :D

How about something with an airbrushed Indian chief in it and a howling wolf in the background. If theres any room left, whack a semi naked bint in it somewhere...proper classy, you won't go far wrong with that. Oh and an eagle, obviously.

The next model down doesn't come with the 110 motor. I like my paintwork, but I love my motor. :P

The 110 motor is just an upgrade available from the factory, S&S etc. It's even an in-frame conversion :nenau

Yeah but it's got lots of other nice things going for it as well. The wheels are a work of art. :drool

They're exactly the same wheels as every other CVO

If you want fancy wheels, then buy some and sell the originals :nenau

It's your bike, do with it what you want to, but from a financial position 'customising' a CVO is a bad move. When I was looking for my Glide there was a CVO model with very low mileage and great condition that was incredibly good VFM, if you could get past the Apache mural on the tank and panniers

I see you are in Manchester, not a million miles away from Ripley.
About 4 years ago we had our harley fully custom painted by a local Harley Custom Paint specialist. The bike has been since ridden all over Europe, and had a ten day tour in Africa. So far it has stood the test of 30,000 miles and we are still VERY IMPRESSED. The paint specialist which when we had ours done really only did Harley's however they do more makes now, they have a web site www.8ballcustompaintwork.com
Worth a look at their website and a visit to have a look, the owner Joe Black is a nice chap.
If you do go tell him I recommended you, so as he remembers me tell him the canine Grind job was done for me and I'm the guy that taught Lucy to drive. He will then remember.
Our paint job looks as good as the day it came out of the paintshop.
All the best,
Ian

I like my CVO wheels and all the other CVO things. It was just the paint ( even though its very nice) I was thinking if I could dream up a nice scheme it would be worth a change sometime. That said originality would be a wiser move. :D
