Cutting Out - scary this am in the wet

I have just had a similar problem with a new GS Adventure fitted with Remus, Y connector and chip. The dealer (Jefferies) traced the problem to the chip which was faulty... Will see if the problem is solved tomorrow when the bike comes back.

It's only a fast-idle device. All it does is pull the throttles open a bit; all of the enrichment-management for a cold engine is done by the electronics.

Why is it on the bike if its fuel injection? Can't the computer cope with warming up the engine?
