I've noticed on the stock pictures of the GSA that it appears to have cylinder guards as well as crash bars. Does anyone know if these are standard?

Quoi? All I can see is rubber buffers on the bars to prevent head contact in case of an bike/road misalignment.

That triple black photo'd outside Ace doesn't seem to have both.
So no I wouldn't think BMW would go to that expense.:D

Look closer. The bottom half of the cylinder is a different colour to the top half. There are covers on the bike in the photo.

I did the Bmw off-road course, the instructors carried plastic metal with them, to repair the rocker covers, which got punctured nearly every time a GS got dropped

Probably need them fitted to protect the rocker covers from the engine protection bars ?
