Just bought an 05 Dakar, ex BMW 'off road' bike, and was having a play with it today and I noticed something odd?

Bike is non ABS but the rear brake has an ABS disc/sensor etc fitted. I ran out of light to check it out properly, i.e, where the cable runs to etc, but is this normal? I can live with the fact that as an ex off road bike has a few 'battle scars' so I am more intrueged than anything, if someone had 'bent' the swing arm/brake/rear end, why go to the trouble of including the sensor etc if replacing it with another from a donor bike? I could understand it more if it was the front as forks are more likely to get bent/broken than rerar end?

Any thoughts? :nenau :nenau
