Dang! G/S warning lights....

Found it Keith :thumb2

So who's got another plug hiding in the shed? :D

Daft Q but what is stopping you getting some connectors to put on the wires and connecting each one individually?

Not me I'm afraid :nenau

BUT it's been great looking through this thread again :)
Bakerlonglegs, the THEN amateur and now a fully fledged bike restorer as anyone who saw his 80g/s at East mids last year will testify :thumb2:thumb2

Plus the fact that he is only Tosser who can sit on 101 with his feet flat on the floor

What kind of twat designed this?
Going to have to put my thinking cap on :)

Personally I'd solder leads onto each pin, heat shrink over each lead and pin to prevent it shorting out and then fit a multiblock connector onto the lead. A connector like this MC8 Linky so that it can easily be undone but is secure when the bikes running.

Dohhh'HH Rob.
He's pinched that pic from earlier on in the thread and you commented on the wiring then !!!:rob

FFS !!!!!
What are you Suggesting ROB !!!:eek:
Trippy with a Soldering Iron , don't forget what he's like with spanners :blast

F*ck off, I'm ok with mechanical stuff, I just ain't done much for a good few years so like to ask questions, after all thats how you learn isn't it.

The circuit on the light board looks a bit 'tired' so not 100% sure it'll even work but I'll give it a bash (not literally).

Starting at the top and going clockwise I number 1 to 8 and know which number goes to which lamp. then down to a strip connector, starting with 1 on the left and working across.

I was never going to get eight 6" bits of wire that match the bikes colour coding.

I'm fast going off the idea of GIVING you that oil pressure gauge etc :D

just caught up on this update Trippy

STOP:robyou don't need to do that lash up.

have you no airhead friends who have this rare spare part?

i can get my original sheep friend to look in the shed:D

I DID say to Mr Trippy that he ought to drop a PM to that nice Mr Sheep t'up North in Preston.
He was adamant he was doing it himself.:augie
Actually he's done a very neat job :thumb2 but I'm not telling him that.

One thing I would recommend is to get a set of felt tip pens and mark the proper colour on the last inch or so before the junction box.
But I'm not going to suggest that :hide

so do you want the rare part i have :D
its the white plastic connector you need?;)

WELL, let me see how I get on tomorrow because the block connector at the end of the loom where it joined the TT lamps has to come off as well and at the moment I'm quite pleased with my efforts so far.

But .... I may come back to you if it all goes Pete Tong :D
