Dang! G/S warning lights....

:D ok trippy. see how it goes .good luck.
let me know what the other connector is like i may have one.

I was going to mention that Bakerlongerlegs gave that plug back to Colt... But you seemed to be having so much fun :aidan

Trippy,

There's a resistor in the wiring somewhere that will need to come out. It's used with the TT idiot lights to simulate a bulb for the charging circuit to work properly.

Not 100% what you mean and I haven't found a resistor anywhere, however there was a warning lamp by ignition switch seperate from the TT unit. I'll recheck tomorrow.

So far ...

Actually that was me cocking up Colts thread by clicking "edit" instead of "quote"

The charging circuit on your bike relies on a path to ground for it to charge the battery this goes through the battery warning bulb. The small LED warning light on the TT unit will not allow enough current to pass through it so you have to put a resistor in parallel with the LED to simulate the resistance of the original bulb. If you haven't removed this then you will not be able to get the charge light working.

It's on this link under "Note BMW Rider" Linky

Thanks I will take a look. The only two tiny inline resistors that I removed were on the blue/red & blue/black indicator wires, there are no other 'extras' in the headlight cowl so if its there it must be further back.

Anyone know what I should be looking for?

i thought my post seemed to have changed.
guessed it was a mod trying to pass himself off as me.

Just a mod without his specs on clicking the wrong button. Those "quote" and "Edit" buttons seem awful close when you're squinting :rob

There that looks better. Problem with the charging light was just a dicky connection on the bulb holder, thank you for all the advice.
