Data transfer

I have a Garmin Nuvi which i will be replacing soon and i don't want to lose the locations in the memory is there any way i can transfer them to the new sat nav?

Can't remember how I did mine but I transferred from a nuvi to a newer garmin model without any problems.
I'm an IT numpty so if I can then anyone can!
Have you looked on garmin website for advice?

Import the WPs and routes to your PC/'Mac using whatever prog you use (I still use Mapsource, but I'm a dinosaur and I think that's been superceded)

Then plug your new device in to the same PC, unlock the maps and import the WP/routes file.....VOILA!

Haven't looked at the Garmin site yet thought i would test the knowledge on here first.

I believe that if you back-up your old unit to Garmin Express, you can then transfer your favourites etc to the new device when you connect it to garmin Express. The option is fairly prominently displayed (from memory)
