From what I've seen and heard about your riding Gunner - you don't exactly need tuition...

The way I understand it, riding together would be the best way to get around the track... but that means entering for the Marathon class 
And as for which event, surely we should do the 12 hour... otherwise it wouldn't be the Dawn to Dusk

OK guys I am still in (I did start this so cant back out now!). I agree with Mav 12 hour event and yes if we want to ride together it will be the Marathon (I prefer Ironman!) class.
Their is a rally in May in Mid wales how about doing that as our first met up ?

Right so for those who want to give it a bash regardless please sign up for the
12 Hour race will start at 7.00 am Sunday. Prior to the start the track will be opened up to the full 15 – 18 mile circuit.
12 HOUR:-
Signing on 11.00am-5.00pm Saturday 29th August.
Bike checking 12.30pm-6.00pm.
Briefing- 8.00pm in the marquee, followed by Sighting Lap on the video screen.
Race Start- Sunday 7.00am.

Mav stop posting things like that your not helping!!!!!! Now I do think I am out of my depth..... lets pray for sunshine!!!
That's alright sniffy - I'm pretty sure I'm out of my depth too! But we will get a weekend organised and get some practice in. Perhaps try to set up a 15/20 mile lap somewhere and run it without stopping

What are people doing for accomodation at the D2D? I am going to have to hire a LWB transit to get the bike up there, and taking a tent or just sleeping in the back of the van (actually who am i kidding? Sleep? Be to busy shitting myself!!)

I think he's talking about the Hafren/Tarrenig rally on the 10th. I will be in Spain so won't be able to make that one... but there is the Ryedale on July 4/5th
As for accomodation... I haven't thought about that either... maybe considering the hire-a-van option as well...

might be able to do one day of the rydale.... not sure yet, might even be a marshal on it as it my enduro club running it!!
