Day jaunt to France

Wapping and I are nipping over the ditch on Saturday 27th March for a recce. We need to check out a bar/hotel in Cap Gris Nez for our Le Mans trip in June and thought a day riding around northern France followed by a leisurely lunch (moules et frites :drool) would be just the thing.

We are on the 08.20 train out of Folkstone and the 17.20 back for the princely sum of £28 each.

I will probably have my lad Rory as pillion.

Wapping lead a day jaunt last year and we plan to follow a similar route, which will be posted up here for Garmin types.

Any takers?
 
I might be up for a day trip, just need to check the work roster

I have approval from the social secretary so I wondered if I could join you. This will be my first o/s trip on the bike and a good warm up for the MotoGP. I should haver soldered the Zumo by then!

Stopped there with Mrs Noddy with the intention of lunch last summer, in the end grabbed a quick expensive couple of coffee's and departed.

Found them surly and indifferent, just asked the boss if she remembered and her comments were, " oh that place, sulky, could'nt give a damm w*****s "

The Cap is a nice place on a warm sunny day though. :D

typical just checked the date i'm working and going out for supper with family in the evening.......:blast

i darn't ask missus as i'm off to wotton on mothering sunday and this sunday off for first ride in months

Have to see nearer the time cus i do need to catch up and have a chat with Rory to make sure your getting him out on the bike enough :)

We stopped there for lunch on the way back from Le Mans and had a great time - can't remember the name but it was on the uphill outskirts of the town, on a bend with a big parking area in front. Very friendly when four hairy arsed bikers and a car turned up I seem to remember ...
