I noticed today that my low beam would not turn off even though I have my lights set to automatic. Anyone else ever have this?
Very helpful and I already said it was set correctly....
Maybe the high temperatures out there have screwed with the electronics![]()

Actually that had been a thought and I do have the BMW headlight guard on it.
Sounds like there's something wrong to me mate.

Have you covered the light level sensor on the RHS of the dash?
Yeah tested it thoroughly last night in a dark garage. I used a small light and the dash backlight goes on/off as normal and the headlight symbol also turns on/off.
Hmmmm sounds like there is a deeper problem that requires some dismantling, multimeters and can bus analysers. If there is sufficient ambient light on the sensor then the dip should turn off unless there is some software override mechanism that is not explained in the operators manual - have to admit that I haven't read it in detail, so I am stumped! must be an unknown error then. ------It was working perfectly then stopped and about two weeks ago I saw the warning light come on in the dash but only briefly. My GS911 showed an unknown error
