Has anyone degutted the centre silencer on a 1100?
I fancy giving it a go after looking at the 1150 CAT threads and posts.
Although mines a 98 bike it's non cat so I'm assuming there'll just be some wire mesh and baffles in there?

Sorry guys, the day I went on the net to bid on a spare standard exhaust to have a go on was the day I spotted (and in a rash moment bought) Jims GSA, so I sold the 1100 before I got round to it:aidan
I didn't like the idea of a remus but after having had a couple of 1150's with y pieces reckoned that removing the centre internals might produce the same result on an 1100.
There have been a couple of threads on successfully de-gutting CATs on 1150's so I assumed it would be much the same process.
Standard 1100 exhausts seem to go cheap (below £50 for the 2 I've seen) on fleabay which would allow you to have a go without taking the bike off the road:thumb2
