Have we got to talk about dealers and dealers only (bike dealers that is),or can we mention specialists who do at least as good a job at a fraction of the price.

My first experience of specialists was Cray Engineering this week when I picked up Mike O's airhead (bike not bird!)
Yes, we should definitely talk about specialists - especially if any of you can point me to an airhead specialist (bike not bird!) in the South West.

There is a very good BMW Specialist in Frome,(Somerset)called Richard Diffazio, Diffazio motorcycles.
He only deals in BMW as far as I know.

James Sherlocks for you (independent) and Dave Wyndham at CW's (dealer) is an airhead GS enthusiast and has spanners in his yard who know them inside out.mikebelch said:

He only deals in BMW because he sees them as a cash cow.
I just talked to him about servicing costs on the airhead. For a minor service he said about £250. Spoke to Bath Rd about the same service and they said £120-£140. Hmmmm. So much for the independents! Time to compare prices with SPC & Sherlocks just in case Bath Rd have it completely wrong.
