Decent hotel Tanger Med?

Just booked a ferry from Genoa to Tanger Med. Stupid thing gets in at 22.00, so will need a decent hotel not too far from the port with parking. Suggestions welcome.

When I went I rode the 1 hour into Tangers

Yesh, found one last night which seems to be in the passenger terminal at the port. Sems to have parking. Ten at night is a stupid time to arrive otherwise I would definitely ride into town.

And it can take over 1 hour to get out of the port !!!

So I hear. And the Genoa ferry might well be late. With this place (the ONOMO) I shouldn't need to leave the port and I can buy the insurance I need in the morning.

Getting off the boat was also a real shitshow - totally disorganised

Luckily we were just about the first off so avoided big queues at the police checks

And yes - respect for announced arrival times can be a problem

It appears you have found a solution, to what must be a common problem.

One would have thought the Ferry operators GNV? would have addressed the issue & worked up some linked booking arrangements. Is there nothing on their website?

I would say the solution would be for the bloody ferry to arrive at a decent hour, but..
