I am trying to make space on my C: drive as its nearly at capacity. On of my folders in

C:\Documents and Settings\Baz\Local Settings\Temp is 1.8GB.

The question is what happens if I clear it??

Cheers Baz

Either World War Three is started, or you save nearly 2 gigs on your disc. You might loose a few cookies on web log ons (like this one, so you'll need to log on again).

Delete them. All it'll do is mean that your PC may react a little slower when you access your most commonly viewed sites, though it'll more than likely speed it up.

Also, the Temp folder is where internet nasties live - if you do a virus scan and find a virus, trojan horse or whatever, you'll find they're nearly always in that folder.

I delete mine periodically as a matter of course and I never find any nasties.

BTW, you're obviously using Internet Explorer. This means that when you delete them (especially with 1.8GB's!!!!) your PC will freeze up for a little while whilst it clears them - this is completely normal. Go make a brew and come back to it.
