Hi,
Had a dead XPS laptop 23 months old fixed by Dell in a way which I think deserves great praise. I had only a 12 month warranty on the thing.
Monday - phoned Dell, told them the story and they said they would fit a new motherboard FOC.
Tuesday - man came to house, fitted new mobo, problem solved. he said the cmos battery leads were a bit slack and he would get it changed.
Thursday - new man came with cmos battery and fitted it.
Both visits were pre-arranged by phone, no issues.
Quite impressed.
