DENALI 2.0 Plug n Play CANsmart Controller for BMW R1200 LC Series

Just seen that the HEX EzCan now has a competitor - which IS being sold in the UK @ £227.99 by Sportouring.co.uk.
See Link !
From the blurb and photographs on the site, appears it does exactly what, and looks exactly the same, as the HEX unit !!!

Blimey, the spec is identical. If it's going to be available in the U.K. I'd buy one instead of buying the Hex EzCan from the States or SA.

The unit itself looks the same but you get extra cables the EZCan doesn't have plus the connectors are different. Maybe this is how the EZCan will be sold in the UK

I love your sarcasm mr Fred but I'll stick with my £12 it leaves me £216 to spend on fuel. Hey but you guys like your toys, fair enough. I prefer to use my cash for travelling.

Actually I would have never said a word if troll idiots didn't start crashing threads with £12 unrelated nonsense.

It would appear from the Denali Instruction Manual, that the cables provided with the unit are for the fitment of, and marry up to the connectors of: Denali SoundBomb Horn - Denali B6 Brake Light - Denali Light Pods (D2 LED Lights and/or D4 LED Lights).
Made under licence from HEX for their own products - Me thinks !!!!

:nenau

Picked one of these up earlier. Not fitted to the bike yet but, it says Hex on the back of the unit.

So it is a HEX unit then?? With the lead connectors adapted/replaced by Denali, specifically for their hardware, (Horn/Aux Lights/Supplementary Brake Light). May be that way, HEX gets its foot into Europe, by using a European manufacturer to market the unit, and save the costs of advertising, distribution etc ??? but still get a percentage cut of the sales revenue??

Bit of a bug bear to change the connectors, or find ones that will marry up, if you haven't got or don't intend to use Denali auxiliaries. :blast

The connectors can't be any worse connected than the Hex ones.
I've seem better crimping in the local college hairdressing class

Mmmm, not sure that this is actually going to work unless you have the Denali lights (which I don’t). I think my problem is that which is being alluded to above i.e. the extension leads are “three socket” whereas my lights are “two socket”. What I’ll need to source is a “three into two” extension lead from somewhere. Any ideas anyone?

I wonder if it has the same brake light flash function of the Hex? As i understood it, thats why the Hex wasnt and couldn't be ce marked and legally sold in Europe ??
