Dent - Midsummer Meet

If anyone fancies a trip to Dent for a few days in some brilliant north of England sunshine, load up your bike and have a trip up there, or down there if you're from Scotland.
21st June and go home a couple of days later...
Or arrive two days early and go home on the 21st...
Or stay for four days or more.

There's camping with hook-ups and a couple of B&B pubs in the village.

I can't make the Sunday 21st, it fathers day, I've got a special lunch to attend.
I may be able to come on Minday for a couple of nights.

I’m due back home from a cycling trip in France on the 17th.
I fancy the idea of a ride up to meet and have a ride about…..

I’ll float the idea and see how it goes. The other half’s daughter is due to give birth that weekend.
I might be required to pretend that I’m interested

Zero concern for fire safety with the amount that get crammed in there. Not for me.
That’s why I like the CAMC and increasingly the CCC. Defined pitches with a decent fire break gap in between outfits. I don’t want to get burnt to a crisp because of someone else’s carelessness.

Caravan and Camping Club large adverts by the entrance, but has no afiliation to them whatsoever, so no age concession and no 'rules' or 'recommendations' to follow

I’m going to book somewhere to stay rather than camp.
I’ll ride (all the way) up on Sunday and go home in the Tuesday.
Hopefully one of you can be ride leader on the Monday for a bimble around the hills.

It'll be good to see you again Paul. I'll be there the same day about 1.00pm-ish pitching mi tent, then walk up to the Sun Inn beer garden.

You're lucky Steve, I've just tried various websites for accommodation, nothing available. I'll try during the week in case of a cancellation. If I can't get anything, I may just ride up for the day and have a couple of shandies or guinness zeroes to be sociable.
