My desktop keeps going to 'Desktop Recovery' with a blank screen. I follow the instructions

i.e Properties, web ages ub tick web page box etc etc but nothing. Everytime i put a desktop picture on it its fine but within 10 minutes on the net i loose the wallpaper and get the 'Desktop' recovery up again.

Very irritating.

Any ideas

Cheers

Banger this could either be really simple or a major PITA :(

First off, try right clicking on the desktop, select settings and change the resolution of the screen...... change it downwards to the next lower setting....then say 'keep it' when prompted, reboot and see if it's stable....

If it is, you should be able to re-set it to the old resolution.

If it's not, post back ...there are a lot of things this could be :(

PS are you using XP?

Just a thought...have you recently 'upgraded' to IE7???

(open Internet explorer, click 'help' and 'about internet explorer and see what version you're using)

It seems to be holding after lowering the resolution the re-booting and changing the resoloution back. But its held before and then i have lossed it but i did not do what you said then so here's hoping.

If it goes again i will inform you.

Thanks.
