Just wondering if anyone has bought one of the Chinese copy gs 911 diagnostic thingies, and if so.............do they work properly?

Has anyone tried a generic can bus OBD scan tool to read error codes?

Obviously, a generic tool wouldn't be able to reset the 'service indicator'.

I can't believe BMW Motorrad totally reinvented the wheel as far as diagnostic codes go, especially as their car division uses pretty standard ODB protocols.
