Some people on here are convinced that the new bike will be doomed (or at least they hope so, so they can ride around on their 10 year old 11xx for ever more), but their opinions mean nothing to me.

Their opinions will count, whilst you're sat in a layby calling BMW Assist and they whizz by on their 10 year old 11XXGS
Why the fuck do people feel the need to slag the product off before it's even on the road? The usual subjects are circling like vultures, tittering and smirking in the corner of the playground hoping to jump on the "I told you so" bandwagon. Most of ride the "brand" so I don't get the "hope it fails" attitude which sems to prevail sometimes.
It's a brand new product so will no doubt have a few teething issues like every other vehicle ever built. Product recalls are normal in the industry and I don't think there is a machine built which has been flawless from the get go.
Everything points to this being a brilliant bit of kit as all the initial reports have alluded to.

I have always bought new GSs at launch. Never let me down despite high mileage. Shaw, some teething problems outweighed by the fun of riding.

While this my not be the first bike I've purchased new without a test ride, it is certainly the first I have purchased at first release, I have no concerns and am looking forward to taking delivery on hopefully the 3rd March -
