perhaps you didn't read what you posted?
There is no formal word from KTM about these modifications to the 1190 Adventure model, or whether the changes will be for 2015 or 2016.
I've not read of a single 1190 being returned to the dealer for replacement on the KTM forum.
No crunchy gearbox issues.
No frame issues or broken headstocks.
No weeping coolant from the crank cases
I'm trying to think what it is they say about attack being the first defence?
Perhaps someone could help me out ........

I'm certainly not, I'm just pointing out that there is a new version coming, in case anyone's about to buy one and hadn't seen the article. I'd say your comment about gearboxes etc is more attacking than my post.

i find it a little bit annoying, but then i come from years of bmw ownership

I'm not suprised, you have some of the most desirable bikes I could wish for ...... now then sell me that 'Blue One'
Doesn't bother me in the slightest if they are working on a revised model, in fact given I part-ex my bike every 2-3 years for a replacement (used as year round commuter), I'm pleased they are investing in further development. Should be about ready for when my mid 2013 model needs to be updated!
