Diesel in the tank - need advice!

Surely the diesel nozzle wouldn't fit in the unleaded petrol orifice?

:rob

Mmmmmmmm ..... !! Didn't stop me filling up an entire tank on the Olympic torch relay .... :blast

:D

fuel

Place the fuel in a can, soak some string in the mix and place one end just above the open can. Now walk away to a safe distance and light the string and run! If the can takes off you have done it right. If not you may feel a burning sensation and see blue lights!!!! Let's see if you take that advice.

You must have a bloody big lawn, 20l would last me about 3 years. Stick it in the car, unless it's a diesel!

I know, that's what I said to the wife, I won't have to buy petrol for the mower for years! Bloody car is diesel:blast

Have I missed something?

You put a small amount of diesel in your tank

You ask the UKGSer massive as to what you should do?

To a man you are given sound advice i.e. don't worry about it. Fill it up with more petrol so it dilutes. It'll be fine. Don't worry blah blah

Then you ignore the advice and do something different :blast

I love this place :D

I know, I know. However, I only managed to siphon about 10'ltrs (couldn't get to the rest? :nenau:) ).So does that count? I've taken half the advice, and now it's dliuted slighgtly, but still smokes.

Ps actually, that's exactly what I did fecking do! So I took the advice, in the end:nenau:nenau

It doesn't .... you have to be either

A: Very thick

or

B: Very patient

:D

I'm not very fecking patient.

Ps but I'm sure it fitted, perhaps not.
Pps the forecourt where I parked was fully of a diesel spill so I was thinking that I'd better be careful when leaving, and I guess I had diesel on the brain after that. I love the way the attendant thought nothing of it when I switched over to petrol! He had no one else to serve, it was 530am!

If you've put it in a jerry can then refill the bike with unleaded and just put a few litres at a time back in the bike every now and then when you need a little top up, adding regular unleaded in between for fill ups obviosuly, until you've used it all ... :comfort

Yeah, I may need to, otherwise it may never get used.
