Difference between 1150 & 1200 from a Newbie

.
Please will you educate me on the fundamental differences between the 2 bikes.

Many Thanks ( and be gentle!!!).

Anyone elses opinion on what to buy is worthless. It's what suits you that counts.
Ride them and find out.

Best advice is to test ride as many as you can and see which one you prefer and then buy the newest/lowest mileage one you can afford :beerjug:

In one.

Sorry to sound like Room 101 GS............
Were the servo brakes that a few have mentioned an option, or did they come standard on some models????
What is the problem with them??

Thanks Again

Nobody has mentioned the slight price difference between a well sorted 1150 and a twin cam 1200. The OP is from spain and like many of his countrymen may not have the kind of money required to buy and maintain a new (or nearly new) 1200.

Quite right, there's no, one is better than the other.:thumb

Just that some are better than other things.........

Having owed both, you really need to try them for yourself.
There is such a love hate relationship between riders of both.So a reasonable unbiased answer would be impossible :blast
take a long test ride on all models to see which suits you best. :beerjug:

Thanks for all the advice.
What year did the 1200's change to the twin cam engine???
Cheers

You can tell at a glance if it's a twin cam as it has 2 enging bolts either side not 4.
Having experience on 1150, 1200 & twin cam I can say they are all great bikes. The twin cam is the best bike by far, but that doesn't make it my favourite.
I would go for the newest model that funds allow, you won't be disapointed until you try the newer version.
The next WC 1250 will maybe make my twin cam seem shite? You can't un-invent technology ... why would you want to?
Just remember the newest 1150 is now getting on a bit, and had a hard, hard life!
How do I know this? Cuz the cosmonaut's that ride 'em never let us forget! :D

Naughty, naughty Timothy! Don't let the facts ruin a good story. :nono

As Timothy is old now :comfort and that i doubt he could remember that far back, bless him. :D :D
[he would not know the recent history of the bike] ;)
