Difference between 1150 & 1200 from a Newbie

I was offered a mint CBX1000 for £1500 in the early 90s! Turned it down in favour of a GPz 750, because it was newer and faster.
The CBX was just an old bike then, outclassed by everything BUT not old enough to be nostalgic or desireable.
And that my friends is exactly where the 1150 is now, outclassed, dated & not yet desireable.
But it is destined for uber cool status in another 10 years time, whereas the 1200 never will be due to it's mass popularity now.
I would love to pick up a mint 1150 and make it a keeper in the future. But by then it will be silly money for a decent one!

By the way, I looked at a CBX thou the other day priced £6995

Incidently, I take so much time to write shite because good shite is what used made this forum interesting, as opposed to most of the watered-down sillage which comprises a lot of the posts here nowadays.
I try to squeeze out quality shite and ...as all good shites are ... a pleasure to take time over.
