Just back from spain and i find the seat on my 1150 adventure very uncomfortable i am told that fitting an airhawk will improve things, do any of you have any thoughts about seating? :nenau

Air hawk the way to go.Both the 1150 and 1200GSA's are bloomin uncomfortable at first but the airhawk helps. Also roll the bars back a bit as standard the bars can be uncomfortable. Rolled mine back on both bikes and it Transforms the bike.On the GSA 12 I put the seat on its lowest position and even though I'm 6foot six its better than on the higher setting( I know you cant alter the1150's seat) Rode 2500Km through India on the Airhawk and no complaints from my bum( except the curry type!!):thumb2

Airhawk deffo the way to go. There are two types. More expensive is puncture repairable the cheaper is not.

As the main rider you will need a medium cruiser. This will fit the seat very well.

I bought one of the cheaper ones second hand on this site and have had it for two years. Would not dream of doing a long journey without it.:thumb2

Did 560 miles from Calais to Offenburg in Germany in one hit without a single ache or pain. Thought I would need to remove it for the twisty mountain passes but didn't need to.

Tip.... if you over inflate the Airhawk you will roll around and its not pleasant.
The idea is to get just enough air in the seat to get your bum of the original seat so you are sitting on a thin cushion of air. I did this by leaving the adjuster valve out and letting air out little by little until it felt really comfy.

Have not touched it since.

Hope this helps...
