Disabling DRLs with a GS911?

@Jersey_GS just checked mine with the GS 911 and to enable the rear centre light as a tail light, follow this path:-

1. Detected vehicle
2. Body controller
3. Service functions
4. Coding functions
5. Configuration

In Configuration, you will find the option to enable”Additional brake light as running light”. As default, this is set to 10%

Not sure how i messed this up on the first try, my laptop was a wee bit glitchy and very slow so perhaps some of my changes i opted for yesterday didn't actually get changed on the bike. I did have a few light faults come up on the dash yesterday but cleared them when i got home.

Made the changes today i now have my central rear light on with red lights on the indicators off but are brake lights with the central light.
Annoyingly I ordered the Wieser module yesterday which i dont need now.

I have done slightly different to you as i have kept the red running light on indicators but have stopped the brake lights on them so they dont hide the indicaters when braking..

Recently watched the GS911 video by Steve on "A bike thing" and he mentions disabling the front DRLs with the GS911 (making the front indicators work like indicators only and not permanently on). Its seems switching the rears is currently in development. Has anyone done this yet?

Just done this today with my 2024 GSA, front and rear indicators are now solely indicators. New GS-911 arrived this morning and worked straight out of the box, no updates required. Many thanks @steve g for starting this thread.

(strictly speaking they're not DRLs, according to the software they are 'cruising lights' )

Any tips or easy errors to make when doing the rears, thanks ?

In the screenshot in post #29 'Brake Light' refers to the rear indicators. 'Additional Brake Light' refers to the traditional stop/tail light unit above the number plate.

Steve from "A bike thing" posted a good informative video last night on YT. Its do to with raffling his 1250GSA, however he goes through in some detail the GS911 adjustments that can be made to the running/brake lights. Very informative as he goes through all the options and settings that can be done.
