Looking to replace my 2022 RT with a new 1250GSA. Current offer includes a £1250 discount.

Are there better deals out there or does that sound about right?

I'd also plumb for x3 boxes, tank bag, nav etc.. Everything that is bike specific.

Yeah, go for it, because they’re end of line, they’ll want rid.

When I got my 1250GSA in late March 24 right at the end of the Winter sales quarter, the discount was £3500. At that time there were 300+ new ones in UK stock, which dwindled to sub 100 a few weeks later by which time the 1300GSA luke warm reception became evident and demand for the older bike picked up, meaning lesser discounts into the next two sales quarters. If you can find a new 1250GSA towards the end of September some dealers may be more keen to do deals if they still need to reach target at the end of summer sales quarter. Happy to discuss which dealers were keen to deal and which were not, send me a PM if it would help.

Happy hunting.

Williams in Manchester have similar deal as above

Had an email off them the other day

UK Stock locator still showing 78 GSA's available

Bought my GS off them June 2022, an in stock bike and they were good to haggle with

They did a deal similar up to the end of June but included a 3 piece set of aluminium luggage

The 3rd quarter ends end ofSeptember...maybe more chance of a deal to finish off the quarter or wait for the last quarter as it usually slows down up to Xmas
Bit of a gamble as to what's left in stock

And they will want rid of all the 1250's by the time the 1300 is out for sale as they did with the GS

I only managed £1250 off mine a few months ago but I'd imagine you'll have more bargaining power now. I'd ask for luggage cases and an akropovic.

I’ll have to look at my invoice. TE Triple Black with heated seat.
Oh and a tracker

Ok, deal done, New Triple Black, lots of 719 bits , Akra end can, heated seats etc. They also included 3 services.

Excellent trade in price for my RT so overall I’m very pleased.

Picking her up pm Tuesday 3/9/24.

Thank you James at Sycamore, Witham. (y)(y)

Also thanks to you all for your contributions, appreciated.

^^^Yeah but what was the cost?
(do you still get a discount if you have a PX or is haggling over the PX offer basically the same?)

From my experience they can change the numbers up to suit the individual, they have a cost to change in mind and they can make it seem like you're getting a better discount on the bike or a better trade in on yours. Often the actual prices on the invoice can be different to what they said, but the cost to change is the same.

There's only ever one winner, and that's the dealership, but if you as a customer feel like you got a good deal that's all that should matter really :thumb2

Cost to change was how I judge if or not it’s a good deal. They offered me £1500 more than I was quoted from another dealer plus all the other discounts and benefits. Yes the dealer made money but that’s fine with me.

Glad you’re all sorted Budweiser 👍
What Snerkler said is spot on, with finance , part ex, addons it’s near impossible to figure out what exactly the cost of the bike is.
What matters is you get what you’re after at a price you’re comfortable with.
PCP is the solution for some while others would never entertain it. Some put value on an extended warranty or ceramic coating.
Something that was a factor to me was the dealer. I could have saved a few quid buying from a dealer 200 miles away but I figured having my supplying dealer 5 miles from my front door was worth it.
We’re all different.

That does sound like a good deal..

Thats very true.
When i bought my 1250GSA in Oct `21 i said i`d pay list for the bike if they included a top case and a pair of the Atacama soft bags and fixing kit which was worth about 12/14 hundred quid at the time, and i was probably the least likely to get anything as i didn`t have a PX, didn`t want PCP or finance and was a cash buyer.
I was happy enough with that. Should of gone for a free first service as well though!!
