So I've been thinking for a while that I wanted to mount the GPS up high and very close to my line of sight when I'm the bike. I did have it mounted on the handlebars but I felt I had to look away from the road for too long when using it.
So this is my thinking. Got a couple of 1m x 20mm x 4mm steel bars from B&Q and made two extension bars that mounted to my MRA screen brackets.
Next I got a length of bar, cut it and bent into shape. Used M8 bolts to attach it to the lower extension bars.
Next I traced the shape of the upper bar onto some 2mm aluminium sheet. Then cut it out.
Lastly before I nipped into work, I placed the GPS roughly where I think it will be mounted.
To be continued......
