Do you really need a big, expensive, adventure bike?

Clearly, big means different things to different folk!
:ROFLMAO:

Check out Coastrider Scotland’s YouTube channel.
The amount of enjoyment and pleasure he gets from his 350 Enfield is a real treat!

If he was promoting a 500cc or smaller, i'd agree but this is an 850cc bike...and it weighs way over 200kg

Isn’t that a big, expensive adventure bike?

Not that big compared to a GS, GS Adventure, Africa Twin AS, 1290 Adventure, etc. And it's only 1/2 the price of a GS.

I agree, one can have just as much fun with a smaller 350 motorcycle as a large one, maybe more. I love riding my little XT250.

I think he must have deleted the second line of his title as it would have cut across his visor as the full length title should have read…
“…………but if you do try the V85 from Moto Guzzi.” :D

Depends. I travel two up and my pilluon appreciates the space and comfort on a GS. Would be nice if someone could design a roomy and light 850cc bike though. Does such a thing exist?

Go and try a V85 then. We used to have a GSA and wife much prefers the V85. We’ve done 38,000 miles on ours so far, mostly two up. Long roomy and very comfy seat esp with a cool cover. Owned from new in 2019. A tad underpowered for quick overtakes but it’ll do 70mph+ all day every day two up in comfort. I know I’ve done it lots of times. Simple to maintain and on the whole reliable.
