I can tolerate a glass of Trockenbeerenauslese dessert wine with a bit of strudel or blue cheese but in normal drinking, anything sweeter than an off dry Spatlese does not do it for me. Maybe a gewurztraminer. I prefer riesling to be very dry, and from Pfalz rather than the Mosel!

Standard practice to keep red in the fridge in the Summer here, or in the local spring if you are out.

Red in summer - take out of fridge 45 mins before drinking.
White year round - take out of fridge 15 mins before drinking.
