So I sent this to our lass.
Dizzy cow sent an expletive message saying the hell was i doing riding through that.

Planned ride for today with Sean.
Going through Piesport into Luxembourg and back to Cochem.
Following the Mosel all the way to Luxembourg. About 200 miles

Sorry for the laugh, but the wine festival is the main highlight of Doc's visit, along with the party boat on Friday night

My point was the wine festival is in August . Doc attends the Wine Week . Was curious if he’d done the bigger wine festival then decided he preferred the wine week in June .

Apparently actual wine is in the fountain in the square instead of water

Lots of the towns and villages along the river and / or up on the slopes, host their own ‘wine festivals’ and ‘wine weeks’. It’s a sort of national sport.

As above, the stretch of road along the river at Cochem becomes very congested in ‘wine week’, with stalls and the like set out for the duration.

That aside, the Cochem ‘wine festival’ is great fun and worth a detour for a day or two.

Stopped for a coffee and bloke hit the bike in his car. Luckily his wing mirror hit mine and his collapsed in. No damage.
