I'm 143 miles south of Arnarge and 523 from Cochem.
I will probably take this "Curvy/Quick" route and stop somewhere for a sleep.

I have two days, so predominately, yes.

Both routes are just roughed out. Mileage wise, nothing much in it.

That's the trouble with bloody MRA...the black route covers and blocks any details underneath such as road class and place names. It pisses me off. (Unless there's a way around it that my stupidity can't work out)

Switch to the Michelin map layer and zoom in a little.

I’m using an iPad and it seems OK.



I am not sure that Garmin’s magenta line on a map was any thinnner.

Not so very different to my roughed out southern version.

I need to be taking the better D roads and some N roads, in order to preserve my fillings.

Likewise. In '23, I took a load of single track roads at the beginning of the trip... took hours to get anywhere so abandoned it for the better D's.
If I make good time I will stop in Verdun at a Chambre d'hôte, not far from the American Cemetery.

We are considering swerving Le Mans 2025 and doing the Spa WEC 6-hour race instead. This doesn’t mean that I’ll not be on Doc’s jaunt, I’ll maybe just be coming from a different direction.
