Doc does France

Yeah. But on a PROPER goldwing it’s such a faff as it connects in the topbox.

That’s why I’ve got the sporty version that doesn’t have a commode attached

Last few beers before heading here tomorrow. 255 miles. Managed to dodge the rain today and enjoyed our time in Saumur.

Don't head west young man, just don't ... :)
We haven’t.
ended up in Évora yesterday, East of Lisbon. Further South-East today, Seville. Stunning scenery today coming across the border area through what I’ll call the lakes on the border. Down to La Línea tomorrow.

Never used it on mine . Prefer MRA via CarPlay

I have a guilty confession….
I ended up using CarPlay today as the twat nag didn’t have the hotel on it. Ooh, the shame of it. 😰

Good to see the little woman, doing all the ordering and carrying….

Her French must be nigh on perfect by now.

Good on her anyhow. I have been away with some rufty-tufty Adventure (with a capital A) bikermates, who are too nervous to even try to order something in a shop.

Enjoy the rest of your trip.

103 miles to go. Bit cooler today and had to put a sweatshirt on. :yikes
Roughing it again. Lacking in salad cream. Must start carrying it.20230913_105835.jpg

Travel tip from Doc.
Always carry wet wipes just in case you get cut short.
Scraping your arse on the grass like a dog doesn't work.🙈🐕

Yup - I've been doing that for over 30 years (taking wipes, not scraping) after spending a particularly bog paperless weekend at Donington.

Never underestimate the power of a wayward turd when it comes to ruining your day.

NEVER again...... (y)

Well arrived and just started raining. 20230913_133433.jpg20230913_133419.jpg

Got a couple of days in Piney if anyone has any ride outs we could do.
Thanks

nice little loop of 188 miles with a Abbaye. D996 down to Dijon is lovely, then come back up via the D971.

Easy to shorten the loop to by cutting across to Chatillon earlier, but the southern part of the D996 is the best bit.

Brings back some good memories that place Chris :thumb2

By theway, I thought it was a bit much to call you a wayward turd.....don't take it to heart....:D

Have a look at a map...Giffaumont-Champaubert is north west of you, an enormous lake with leisure type spots on its shores....full of big carp too!
