Doc does France

Heading here tomorrow for our last couple of nights.

Ah right.
The place we stopped in Giffaumont is just off the left on that road leading down from the Lac in your pic. A huge lac, built to absorb some of the flooding and keeping Parisiens feet dry...
Envious of your trip, although we have another European odyssey in the offing....watch this space :D
Also have stayed in the place in Piney, but several years ago...
Got to agree with you...Europe just doesn't understand breakfast....

Another place, not near Doc, is camping moto route 99 not a million miles from Puy de Dome at

Saint-Rémy-de-Blot

I stayed there a few times some years ago and to be honest it was BASIC.
I think it was bought by a Dutch couple who seem to have brought it up quite a step, although the owners, Nathalie and André sounds pretty French. Must revisit.

I just wonder if “biker friendly” is code for “its basic or crap but biker mates will not know any better”
I prefer to choose on basis of 3stars or better and avoid hostels like pension williams or that place in Malta which was an eye opener in so many ways!
Interesting hotels in interesting places I find myself seems to work maybe I’m out of step but happy to continue

Not having a bidet isn't good. Sink will have to do

May I recommend the Hotel de la Poste. Central location with secure parking and a nice outside seating area to quaff a Duvel or five.:thumb2

May I recommend you read his post properly !
It’s only a short stop so Doc and Jayne may not need secure hotel parking and may not want to quaff five Duvels at 1030 am

If on holiday I can always have a few at 10.30 am.
Only if I'm not riding though. :beerjug:

Its a biker campsite with chalets :nenau
Depends what you want.
To me, its just somewhere to sleep/wash/shag. So long as its clean & comfy, I care not a jot.
