Aye ,,,, I remember my first Run in the Autobahn - 3 of us ,,,Dave lived in Germany for years serving in the British Army ,,,, at brekkie ,,, he says , right I waited to tell you this so you wouldn’t forget ,,, DON,T think you are going fast at 100 MPH - because there are some very fast vehicles in Germany .Nothing left.

And I wouldn't like to see the aftermath of a high crash on the autobahns the speed these cars go.
Anyhoo ,,, I am tooling along on my ST 1300 at about the 100 MPH mark thinking I’m the bees knees because it’s a novelty to legally ride at serious speeds ,,, see a truck in the distance , mirror check head lights a Long way back , next check before indicating and pulling out ,, just turning my head to the mirror and this “ THING “ goes past so fast I feel stationary at 100 MPH ,,,,,,, THAT was a Wake up call !!! The “ Thing “ had a big wing on the back and the widest tyres I have ever seen - a Porsche of kind ,, how fast can those things ACTUALLY go at flat stick ? ? ( I know very little about fast cars )
Crashes at those speeds must be horrific .
Don’t think there is as much of it marked as unrestricted anymore ( at least it didn’t look like it last summer ) mibbies not a bad thing !
Yup I warned my my pals about overtaking . Check 5 times before doing so.
Trouble is Chris, driving standards in Britain are fecking awful, every cnut and his relative sat in the fecking wrong lane on the motorway, completely and utterly oblivious as to what the hell is going in around them. They then take their shite habits away on holidays to Europe too, and piss off locals over there too. Pulling out in front of the faster moving traffic, fail to indicate before pulling out or indeed pulling back in to slower lane (if they actually do).
If they were to overtake a tractor for argument sake, on a regular A/B road, they wouldn’t be sat in the oncoming traffic lane for the rest of their journey, would they.
Treating dual carriageway or a motorway (regardless how many lanes it has) should be in same way, you complete your overtake, move the fuck over into the lane one, etc. Lane one isn’t exclusive reserved for lories only.
