Yes going cheers. Might do a lap of the lake also.

Any suggestions for tomorrow please lads. Not wanting to do massive mileage.
Cheers

Perhaps take a train ride? You can go to Chamonix Mont Blanc in two and a bit hours. Quite a nice day out, I would have thought. Check the timetable or ask the hotel to do it for you, as you may well have to change trains. I’m sure Google Maps can work it out, even down to the platforms to use.

There are buses too, which seem to be faster.

About Mont Blanc

Here’s what you need to know if you didn’t already. Mont Blanc is the HIGHEST mountain in Europe standing tall at 4,810 metres (15,777 feet)!!

You can visit by either taking cable cars up from Chamonix, France or alternatively the Italian side. I’m going to talk about the Chamonix experience, as we didn’t venture over to Italy this time.

From Chamonix, in order to visit Mont Blanc, you will go up the Aiguille du Midi, which is a mountain peak standing at 3842 metres (or 12,605 feet) in the Mont Blanc massif.

Or ride there (motorway is quick) in about an hour and a bit.

Chamonix is pretty smart…. So there will be some hot viewing, I don’t doubt.

Its probably a bit far for a day trip, but if you are headed SSE from Anncey the are some Hoodoo's at Lac de Serre-Ponçon on the eastern side. Many years since I was there, but quite something to see. The Damsoiselles coiffees of Pontis.
Probably more up GeoTims street :)

Fuckit! I've spoilt it now. No need to go see :D

It's great. It's up there with the bikes I have owned and that's a few. Was glad to get off it today though. Very hot and horrendous traffic the last few miles.
Stock 'bars as well?
