Doc the boss and an Indian does France part two

the mong with the pannier

jayne woulda sorted him out no? :D
Definitely. It's her bike so I'm back up. I have to see the idiot again in the morning. And plus he's German with his bird on her own bike.

Eventful tying down with a prick at the side of me thinking it was ok his ally pannier was nearly touching mine.:tosser Supposed to be rough so a decent gap was better. Also for his health and well-being.
Anyway IPA won the day.View attachment 346050
Make sure the keel is down :yikes

Might be an idea to put a towel or cloth between your and the German’s panniers. If they clash all night with motion it could cause some damage. That's the problem with the Hull ferry , bikes are far too close together. Clocking the German one will end in tears even though the Cloggies dont have much time for Germans. Their nicknames are “Moff”.
Dont ask me why. Anyway maybe better safe than sorry
No disrespect to our german members… I’m half German anyway

How was the gale force 9 storm then? :augie

It's slightly different 2hrs later. It's bloody rough.
Luckily doesn't bother us. So coffee time and fingers crossed the bike is ok.Screenshot_20240823_040856_Maps.jpg

Bit rough out this morning.
And put my boxers on the wrong way round. Silly old twat I am.

Wouldn't be so bad if I had slip-on's on.:LOL:20240823_065941.jpg20240823_065538.jpg

We don't go on holiday to watch what we are spending and I generally don't look at the price of stuff but looking god stuff looks to be expensive.
Although I did think a pint of milk was about 50 pence.
Must cost a family a small fortune and no wonder we see families having a picnic up on the poop deck. I don't blame them. £25 each for an evening meal and a bit cheaper for kids.

The food on the P and O crossing is very expensive, I tend to grab a quick coffee ,is that 5 euros, then after embarkment, head down to the service station on the "get away from Rotterdam" motorway. Hope the crossing wasn't too bad and the wind isn't as strong as the UK ,,,,NW Uk 70 mph winds at present.

Was a bit rough. I'm more worried about the wind when we get off. Can't remember where it is around Rotterdam but sometimes depending on where we are going we cross a big expanse of water which is pretty bad in strong winds.
I think it's this bit but we avoid it this time. Screenshot_20240823_080331_Maps.jpg

Can you just stop and find a hotel if the wind is bad or are you all booked up in advance?

No fun riding in really strong wind

All booked up in Advance Alistair. It's Jayne that gets frightened. Think it was a trip in 2022 when it was horrendous.
