That plate’s about to go onto your lap!

PS Do you not use a fiork? Or are you strictly a knife and spoon man?

PPS Looks goo.
Fork is there somewhere 🤔 I'm not that big an animal. ;)

Well ride up to Rotterdam today.
All in all a good trip and probably done about 130/150 miles per day having a ride round the area. Not everyone Cup of tea but we enjoyed it which is the main thing. :) Not seen a fellow Brit all holiday maybe they are missing out. :nenau
Hope you enjoyed my take on a trip report with nothing taken to seriously.

The next Doc does is France in September for two weeks

Thanks Chris....glad you both enjoyed it....we did! Doesn't matter about anybody else! Look forward to hearing about your trip to France.
We are heading up to Ijmuiden after breakfast, thence the boat to Newcastle.
Hoping for a smoother trip than the one out!

Cheers pal. Looking at weather it's looking like a smooth sailing. Where do you sail from Rotterdam ?

We go from Ijmuiden(Amsterdam) to Newcastle, and then it's only 4 hrs north.
Done Hull a couple of times, but it is always raining in Hull, and the boat seems to spit you out into rush hour amongst the factories. DFDS to Newcastle is probably more expensive....so what...I like it!

Thanks for all the reports on somewhere new and for taking part in the pee taking.

Hopefully your holiday will give some inspiration to others to try somewhere new themselves.

One question, please. What made you chose the area in the first place?

Well last year we visited Den Helder and enjoyed the area so we thought we would go further up the coast this time for something different. Plus not a big trip in miles as it was also a tester to see if Jayne enjoyed being on the Harley as opposed to the RT.
RT for France though as we haven't used it yet this year.

Must be very intimidating for a first time rider on the German autobahns. Must go very wrong for the cars if an accident happens at the speeds they go.
Look five times before overtaking lorries.

Pit stop. Small turd & a large one. Very tasty.20230717_092432.jpg

What country are the cars with Blue number plates on ?

Quite a few across Europe Chris, got a pic?

No as I was riding. No country sign on them. I'm currently riding in Netherlands.

As you are in Holland….

Why do some Dutch cars have blue number plates?

Taxis will have a blue number plate because they pay a different amount of tax to let people into the car legally, although if a taxi does not have a blue number plate on it, it is an illegal taxi and will let people into their car illegally; the driver will charge a lesser amount of money to the person in the car.

Same here in Spain, taxis have had blue plates for a few years now EU wide? I've no idea ...

Holland and not Taxis.
Arrived safe and sound. Waterproofs needed for last 50 miles.
