I have just been to the Black Forest for a quick getaway.
When I changed the units on my dash from mph to kph, the fuel gauge went nuts. It only ever went up so when I filled up and did around 150 miles, it was still showing 220 miles in the tank! It did this for for four days straight. The weird thing is when I changed back to mph when I got back to the UK, it went back to normal.
Has anyone else had this or similar? Doesn't seem any point getting it checked as it seems fine in mph mode.

At least you can put fuel in it,be grateful :D

Is it calculating in litres per 100KM? that is usual on La Continent. Sounds like there is another factor to change - from Gallons to Litres say? I don't know, I have one with dials on, can't change mine

Just back from a 3k mile tour of Europe on my 1250, set the speedo and nav to kph and had no problems with fuel gauge or mileage to empty. Did not change the fuel consumption so it stayed on mpg which was a little strange with everything else in kilometres but the bike worked faultlessly which was great.
