Well I guess it's an age thing with my 98 GS1100 but she seems to be getting a few problems now that I can't get to the bottom of.
Firstly I noticed that, at times my sidelights and tail light pack up completely. When it does this the main headlight works fine along with high beam, the brake light works too so I guess as long as I dont get rear ended I should be ok............but its mot time this week.
Secondly the indicators seem fine and then sometimes the rear ones pack up and the front ones flash really fast to compensate, this is also an intermitent fault which is just as annoying as the sidelight being tempramental.
When the bikes on the stand with the parking light on both front and rear lights work fine. A friend of mine who owns several Nortons!!!!!!!!!!!................say no more, recons it could be the ignition switch on its way out.
Anyway I'm really hoping that there is a GS 1100 Dr on this site that might be able to point me in the right direction and prescribe me some info to keep me old girl on the road.............really cant afford a new one and love me 11
